Here’s a shot I took of an error I’ve never encountered before when trying to connect to XBLive. It cleared itself up within an hour or so.

The weather for today’s commute was significantly warmer and not bad at all for Mid-December. Besides the usual bike lane retardation along 8th Avenue courtesy the usual suspects, heres a highlight from an incident in the new protected 9th Avenue lane that stretches from 23rd to 14th streets.
So here’s the story – Rite Aid truck parked in front of store. High School cyclists rides up. Recognizes truck from mybikelane.com – notices traffic agent issuing citation and takes picture of vehicle. Here’s what one of the Rite Aid Employees had to say to me when he noticed what I was doing.
Moron : What the fuck are you doing? [unintelligible] if you still want your camera… [more cursing]
Citizen : Why are you cursing at me?
….
I then hear him say something about “they like to harass people”. Uh… pal, believe me I want nothing to do with you, but I also don’t want 50 foot trailers in the protected bike lane!
RITE AID on 9th Avenue : Clean up your act!

December Dispatches from the Bike Lanes

Today was chilly at about 25 degrees. Almost zero windchill in the morning with patches of ice but not in really bad spots. I observed 18 bike lane violations today and uploaded 4 of them to http://www.nyc.mybikelane.com . Fact Alert : Traffic on Lexington is bad at 8.10-8.20 PM on a Tuesday night.
