I really don’t understand the transformer movie franchise. Go take a look at the trailer for Transformers 2. One second – FUNNY HIGH SCHOOL JOKE HAHAHAH, THE NEXT SECOND PEOPLE ARE FUCKING DYING BY THE THOUSANDS. Babies are (probably) being CRUSHED by massive FUCKING ROBOTS. Little 3 and 4 year old kids are losing parents because robots are falling down.

And then it’s funny because the robot goes ‘oofff’, and it’s all powerful and shit when he stands back up. But you know what happened when he fell down on that building? HE KILLED CHILDREN. LITTLE TODDLERS WERE CRUSHED. WTF TRANSFORMERS. THIS IS NOT A HAHAHA FUNNY COOL ROBOT MOVIE, PEOPLE ARE FUCKING DYING.

Last week, bright green paint went down on parts of West tenth street. The DOT had been planning to extend the 10th street bike lane farther west for a while now. Green bike lanes were also painted down on the West and North borders of Washington Square Park (the north section between MacDougal and 5th Avenue).

WebZone, opened in 1999 across the street from Cooper Union, closed in January 2009. Read a full report here. Many hours of our lives were spent there playing Battlefield 2, 1942, etc. The gaming and computer center apparently failed to pay rent, or owes 40,000+ dollars to it’s landlord.

From the MICA Campus Safety Log :

On 15 May 2009 at 1045hrs. Campus Safety responded to the Main Bldg. and spoke with a MICA staff member who stated on 14 May 2009 at 1900hrs. during the Art Walk event she was approached by a women and her boyfriend while looking at a former MICA student’s honorary display. The man began to video tape the MICA Employee as he began to make statement’s about how MICA does not care about the safety of it’s student’s and not of his dead daughter (a student who died after being struck by a vehicle at Dolphin and Howard Street).  The man also began to make statments about how unsafe Baltimore is. He also approached a MICA student who was also struck by the same vehicle and told him he had the blood of his dead daughter on his hands. The women will be meeting with VP of Student Affairs to discuss her boyfriend’s actions.

Since after the incident, very little information about how the students were struck was disclosed, it is hard to understand why the other student who was hit (Kent Miller) has blood on his hands. It’s unfair to speculate at this point, but based on this report, disturbing.
