But summer streets is still going to be awesome.
New Bike Lanes are coming to Baltimore
2 Full Projects will bring lanes and routes to Southeast and Park Heights. I’m also working on 12 resurfacing projects to get some new bike lanes (the latest are on southern Wabash).
There is great potential for bike lanes on Mt. Royal (from Calvert to North) when its redone next year. It was recommended by the consultants, but shot down by the community. It would help if there was a voicing by the MICA/Bolton Hill/Reservoir Hill cyclists for the bike lanes if you really want them. Otherwise, those who have spoken win out and no bike lanes.

Report of attack on June 21st on E 13th Street
From the Villager’s police blotter :
‘What are you looking at?’
A doctor who just moved to Manhattan was beaten and robbed while walking on E. 13th St. near Third Ave. Sunday night, June 21. The victim, 27, said he noticed a group of men on the other side of the street when one of them crossed to his side and said, “What are you looking at, white boy?” The suspect then punched him, took his money and continued to hit him. The victim sustained a broken nose and a broken jaw, according to a New York Post item. There was no arrest and police are investigating.
Sounds similar to other recent assualts, but this time with robbery too. Question : Should this be considered a racially motivated crime?
