Are Green bike lanes coming to Baltimore?

UPDATE : As of Saturday, October 31st, 2009, the Fallsway bike lane is bright green!

Inside sources have hinted that Baltimore might be in for one of it’s first bright-green bike lanes in the coming months. These lanes are meant to increase awareness of the lanes and reduce intrusion rates by motor vehicles.

  • This would be pretty cool. Who's saying this?
  • It was discussed as happening in the next year or so by people at the MBAC meeting last Tuesday, I think.
  • There's about a block of this on Falls by the jail now. Must have happened sometime in the past couple of weeks.
